Karla Santos, M.A.
Karla graduated from New York University with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has experience working with adolescents and adults of all ages, including individuals who are BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+. Also, she is a strong advocate for domestic violence awareness and working with survivors. Karla has clinical knowledge and experience in treating a wide range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties.
Karla integrates different treatment modalities that fit best her client’s individual needs. She incorporates techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) and psychodynamics. Through a client-centered approach, her goal is to create a safe space where the client can grow and learn the skills and techniques necessary to tackle life and all that it brings.
